Content Search Settings
Search Limits
Section titled “Search Limits”- Content Search Limit: Maximum number of search results (default: 10,000)
- Max Matches Per File: Maximum matches shown per file (default: 100)
- Max File Size: Skip files larger than this limit (default: 10 MB)
Open Editor
Section titled “Open Editor”Choose which editor to use when opening files from content search results (default: Visual Studio Code). See Supported Editors for the complete list.
Excluded Extensions
Section titled “Excluded Extensions”Configure which file extensions to skip during content search — useful for excluding binary and media files. Toggle the exclusion list on or off as needed (default: enabled).
Default excluded extensions:

Section titled “Ignore Paths”Specify glob patterns for paths to skip during content search.

Section titled “Compressed File Search”Toggle searching inside compressed files (gzip, bzip2, xz, zstd). Configure the maximum decompressed file size for processing (default: 50 MB).
ZIP Archive Search
Section titled “ZIP Archive Search”Toggle searching inside ZIP archives (enabled by default). Configure the maximum entry size for processing (default: 50 MB).
Preprocessor Memory Limit
Section titled “Preprocessor Memory Limit”Set the maximum memory allocation for batch preprocessors (ZIP, PDF, DOCX) in MB (default: 20 MB, minimum: 10 MB, maximum: 100 MB). This controls memory usage when processing complex file formats.
