Content Search Settings

  • Content Search Limit: Maximum number of search results (default: 10,000)
  • Max Matches Per File: Maximum matches shown per file (default: 100)
  • Max File Size: Skip files larger than this limit (default: 10 MB)

Choose which editor to use when opening files from content search results (default: Visual Studio Code). See Supported Editors for the complete list.

Configure which file extensions to skip during content search — useful for excluding binary and media files. Toggle the exclusion list on or off as needed (default: enabled).

Default excluded extensions:

Specify glob patterns for paths to skip during content search.

Toggle searching inside compressed files (gzip, bzip2, xz, zstd). Configure the maximum decompressed file size for processing (default: 50 MB).

Toggle searching inside ZIP archives (enabled by default). Configure the maximum entry size for processing (default: 50 MB).

Set the maximum memory allocation for batch preprocessors (ZIP, PDF, DOCX) in MB (default: 20 MB, minimum: 10 MB, maximum: 100 MB). This controls memory usage when processing complex file formats.
